Foundation Launches New Initiative to Combat Social Isolation Among Seniors.

Recognizing the detrimental effects of social isolation on the well-being of elderly individuals, Calvary Elders’ Care Foundation is proud to announce the launch of a new initiative aimed at fostering social connections and combatting loneliness among seniors. The initiative, titled ‘Seniors Connect,’ seeks to address the social needs of seniors by providing opportunities for meaningful engagement and interaction.

Seniors Connect‘ will include a variety of programs and activities designed to bring seniors together in a supportive and inclusive environment. Weekly coffee mornings will provide a casual setting for seniors to meet, socialize, and share stories over a cup of coffee. Group outings to local attractions and cultural events will offer opportunities for seniors to explore new interests and experiences with their peers.

In addition, hobby clubs focusing on interests such as gardening, crafts, and book clubs will provide avenues for seniors to connect with others who share similar passions. The initiative will also include intergenerational activities, fostering connections between seniors and younger members of the community.

By addressing the social needs of seniors, we aim to promote a sense of belonging and enhance their overall quality of life. ‘Seniors Connect’ reflects the foundation’s commitment to supporting the holistic well-being of elderly individuals and creating a community where everyone feels valued and included.
